If you have visited Rafiki's Planet Watch at Disney's Animal Kingdom recently, you may have seen the "Zootopia" exhibit, which includes a behind-the-scenes video of the film's creators at the theme park – the first stop of their 2014 research trip.
Here's a quick look at the "stars" of that video making a late-night expedition to see themselves in action.
In addition to Wild Africa Trek and other animal experiences, the "Zootopia" filmmakers spent a significant amount of time at Affection Section at Rafiki's Planet Watch, studying and making friends with the sheep and goats.
We were excited to take the film's creators on a journey to a deeper understanding and appreciation of animals and the animal world because we knew they would do the same for millions of children and families who will enjoy "Zootopia" for years to come.
We continually look for ways to provide our guests with intimate connections to animals and nature. Walt Disney loved nature and animals and he saw the value of connecting his family to nature. We hope you do, too.
