The Cultures of ‘it’s a small world’ at Disneyland Park: Africa and Asia

Welcome back to our tour of "The Happiest Cruise That Ever Sailed"! We have embarked on a trip around the world to give you a closer look at the cultures and destinations featured in the classic Disneyland park attraction, "it's a small world." Our previous travels have taken you to Latin America, Europe and the Pacific Islands. Now the journey continues on to Africa and Asia!

'it's a small world'

As your boat sails into Africa, colorful monkeys, smiling hippos and a drumming zebra invite you to join in the fun. Boys from Kenya, Zaire and Uganda, along with a friendly lion, play and sing along to the attraction's famous tune.

Farther on, the famed Taj Mahal rises majestically in the distance. Boys soar overhead on magic flying carpets as girls dressed in bejeweled saris dance alongside a large reflecting pool, and a snake charmer does his best to hypnotize a serpent.

Your boat sails on to Bali, Thailand, Cambodia and Indonesia. Children dressed in elaborate ceremonial costumes and headdresses perform traditional dances in front of an ancient temple.

As your boat departs from Asia, children from Japan – dressed in kimonos – bow and bid you safe travels.

Be sure to join us next time for another stop along "it's a small world" at Disneyland park.
