I arrived at China Pavilion in Epcot just as the sun was rising over the Gate of the Golden Sun for this month's World Showcase shopping article. You may recall that I've spent this year visiting World Showcase Pavilions in search of unforgettable shopping. During my recent visit, it was a spectacular morning to discover the wonders of China.
Beyond the gate at the entrance to the pavilion, guests will find a traditional garden with walkways and lotus ponds that sit at the foot of the Temple of Heaven. This magnificent replica of a building found in Beijing houses a 14-minute Circle-Vision 360° film titled "Reflections of China."
Adjacent to the temple, guests will find the pavilion's largest merchandise shop, House of Good Fortune. There is also a small shop along the Street of Good Fortune, and one along World Showcase promenade called Good Fortune Gifts.
Guests can also get a taste of Shanghai Disney Resort in the House of the Whispering Willows Gallery. The gallery showcases exclusive artwork, as well as a look at the classic and cutting-edge attractions within Shanghai Disneyland's six lands of fantasy and thrilling adventure.
The interior of the House of Good Fortune shop is gorgeous, complete with ornate wood carved displays, intricate tile work, and warm lighting. The shop contains an incredible assortment of goods including house wares, lamps, vases, tea sets, parasols, accessories, and decorative figurines. They also have an adorable collection of panda bear-themed products toward the back of the store.
Toward the front of the shop, guests will find traditional Chinese clothing for adults and kids, beautiful jewelry, and handbags.
Finally, the shop carries Chinese Zodiac items, like apparel or note cards, that make for great gifts (a nod to my fellow rabbits reading this story).
With so many things to see, I could spend hours in this shop finding hidden gems. Here are a few additional photos from my morning in China Pavilion.
