Wildlife Wednesday: Protect sea turtles when you visit the beach

The warm weather is here, at least it is in Florida, and that means lots of people will soon head to the beaches. The coastline is home to a wide variety of wildlife, and the beaches are a great place to get outside and enjoy nature. This is the time of year where nesting shorebirds and one of my favorite animals, sea turtles, are visiting our beaches. Sea turtle nesting season is upon us, and we have already seen a number of turtles lay their eggs during the night on the beach at Disney's Vero Beach Resort. If you plan to enjoy some time on any beach this summer, please keep the tips below in mind and help all wildlife stay safe and healthy.

More information about upcoming activities in which Guests can learn about and possibly even see a nesting sea turtle at Disney's Vero Beach Resort will be posted on the Disney Parks Blog soon.
