Disney Parks Blog Recap

This week, we shared new dates and updates on an amazing lineup of new Disney shows, fireworks and attractions coming to the Walt Disney World Resort in May and June.

Here are some of the dates we shared:

Here are some of the other stories we worked on this week.

Adding a Personal Touch and Magic to Every Adventure at Disneyland Resort – Recently I found myself very fortunate to rescue/adopt a sweet, sometimes tenacious, 1-year-old dog. Of course, I immediately started to try and think of names, and after seeking recommendations from family and friends, we landed on Bella, and on occasion, I shorten it to Belle.

Commemorative Merchandise Celebrates 25 Years and Beyond of Disney Vacation Club – This year, Disney Vacation Club is celebrating its 25th Anniversary. To mark this milestone, the Disney Theme Park Merchandise team has created a collection of commemorative anniversary products. Here's a quick look at some of the current and upcoming items for guests visiting Disney Parks.

'Finding Dory' and Nemo Treats are Off the Hook at Disney Parks – Everyone's always "fishing" to see what's next in the world of candy making at the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts! Do I have the catch of the day for you! Debuting May 22, in celebration of the release of the highly anticipated Disney animated film, "Finding Dory," are what I consider very special treats.

Top Theater Talents Come Together to Create 'Frozen – Live at the Hyperion' for Disney California Adventure Park – The opening of "Frozen – Live at the Hyperion" is just over a week away, and everything is starting to come together to create an incredible theatrical adaptation of the story of sisters Anna and Elsa.

Invictus Games Competitors and Service Dogs Meet Mickey Mouse and Pluto – Invictus Games Orlando 2016 wrapped up last week after several days of competition in 10 sports at ESPN Wide World of Sports. Many of the athletes train year-round in their sport, but there are some K-9 heroes who work 365 days a year helping their humans to be the best they can be.

Wildlife Wednesday – Protect sea turtles when you visit the beach – The warm weather is here, at least it is in Florida, and that means lots of people will soon head to the beaches. The coastline is home to a wide variety of wildlife, and the beaches are a great place to get outside and enjoy nature.
