Wildlife Wednesday: ‘Party for the Planet’ on Earth Day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

Who's ready to party for the planet? Next Friday, April 22, is Earth Day, and Disney's Animal Kingdom will host Party for the Planet presented by Disneynature. Throughout the day, guests are encouraged to connect with nature by engaging in fun activities in every land of the park.

You can meet some of our amazing animal-care team members, animal educators and conservation experts to see first-hand how Disney cares for animals and works to save endangered species worldwide. Watch animal feedings and training experiences specially planned for Earth Day to learn how our keepers care for some of your favorite animals.

If you plan a visit to the park April 22, you also will also have an opportunity to meet Walt Disney Imagineer and Portfolio Creative Executive Joe Rohde, who will be on hand to sign his artwork, created for a new Disney Conservation Fund initiative. Joe will also sign the new coffee table book, The Disney Conservation Fund: Carrying Forward A Conservation Legacy, to which he contributed. The Disney Conservation Fund will receive 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of the book. Joe will appear 1-2 p.m. at Discovery Trading Company (previously Disney Outfitters). The Jungle Book Sand Sculpture at the Oasis at Disney's Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort

Upon entrance to Disney's Animal Kingdom, make sure you stop by the Oasis to see "The Jungle Book" sand sculpture and celebrate the new live-action adventure swinging into theaters April 15.

While in Discovery Island, our Disney PhotoPass photographers would love to take your photo with Earth Day-themed props and frames. (It's never too early to take your Christmas card picture!)
