As your new friend, I must say I’ve learned quite a bit while sharing the 14 Days of Love series. All this talk of love makes me think of the people in my life that I don’t know what I would do without. Like my friends.
There are no rules or requirements to being a friend. A friendship can be between siblings, coworkers, classmates, or childhood friends. I think what makes friendships truly special is no matter how far apart you are, no matter how long it’s been since you’ve last spoken, you can always pick up where you left off. You can grow apart just to grow closer together again. My sisters, who I would consider my best friends, are the best and strongest long distance relationship I’ve ever had.
There’s a special bond between siblings, and when you’re friends with your siblings it makes that bond of love even stronger.
Disney’s newest hit animated film “Frozen” is all about that sisterly bond and how selfless love can change everything. Throughout the fun packed, adventure film, Anna helps her sister Elsa break an icy spell she’s cast, creating an eternal winter on their kingdom. I certainly don’t want to spoil the ending, but let’s just say it’s an act of selfless love they have for each other that helps them save the day!
When I saw this film, there were so many moments that resonated for me as a big sister. So many memories of us as kids came rushing back to me, the memories that are etched in my heart forever.
