We’re only into our second week of the dry dock process, and already we’re seeing glimpses of the Disney Magic transformation taking place! Pictured here are the stairs to AquaDunk, the new thrill slide which will start high atop the ship’s funnel.
Many other new features for the upper decks are coming together, and the steelwork for the new Cabanas is in position. In addition, all staterooms are ready for their new furniture, carpet and beds!
To put the scope of this project in perspective, more than 3,000 people are working together on the Disney Magic transformation, including outfitters, shipyard workers, Disney Imagineers and cast members and Disney Magic crew members. These people represent more than 60 nationalities and more than 100 different companies.
Kudos to the entire team of people who are working together to make the Disney Magic even more beautiful than before. I, for one, cannot wait to see their 18 months of planning and hard work payoff when the reimagined Disney Magic sets sail from Miami!
