This has to be one of our favorite “Limited Time Magic” ideas – Christmas in July with the requisite sweet treats all along Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland park.
Let’s start at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor where our favorite is the Peppermint Hot Fudge Sundae with peppermint ice cream, hot fudge and whipped cream with a flourish of red and green sprinkles and a peppermint candy cane. This winter wonderland is served in a retro Gibson Girl souvenir glass.
Both Plaza Inn and Carnation Cafe have an adorable Mickey Demitasse Dessert – a souvenir Mickey mug filled with strawberry shortcake, whipped cream piled high with red and green sprinkles. Coke Corner is serving a cake-like holiday brownie topped with red and green sprinkles.
Jolly Holiday Bakery Café has a half-dozen different treats, including the Mickey Demitasse Dessert and the holiday brownie. The bakers also added a classic gingerbread cookie decorated with white icing, Mickey sugar cookies with red and green sprinkles, and a holiday cupcake that’s chocolate cake with white chocolate mousse and swirls of red and green icing topped with a peppermint and a candy ornament. If you prefer, you can sip your dessert with an iced peppermint mocha.
Wishing you happy holidays – a little early, but here’s hoping the spirit of the season lives on until December.
