What You May Not Know About ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Aboard the Disney Dream

Did you know that "Beauty and the Beast" is the largest and most ambitious production to ever hit the stage on a Disney ship? Our innovative take on the classic story transforms renowned songs into spectacular, show-stopping numbers and creates a visual panorama that reaches beyond the stage and into the audience.

Drawing inspiration from the live-action film, the stage musical uses the scenic motif of a music box to guide you through the story. A transforming set takes you on a magical journey through the music box, from Belle's provincial French town to the Beast's mysterious castle. In fact, high-definition video projections immerse you in 23 different locations, which is quite a feat for a theatrical production.

#DisneyKids: It’s Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas with Flurry of Fun at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

As you probably already know, there's a whole lot of jolly happening at Disney's Hollywood Studios this holiday season with the festive "Flurry of Fun" park-wide celebration. There's a fantastic new and improved fireworks, projection and musical extravaganza — Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!, plus a dazzling new Sunset Seasons Greetings wintry wonderland transformation where unforgettable tales unfold with beloved characters and heartwarming projections (see if you can spot the Aliens from "Toy Story" or the zany Swedish Chef from The Muppets).

But if you head to the Studios for a holiday outing with a little one tow, keep in mind the simple things that resonate most with preschoolers. Don't underestimate the twinkly lights swirling overhead and around, a gentle snow fall down Sunset Boulevard, the rainbow of fireworks soaring over the Chinese Theater, or the must-do visit with Saint Nick at the Once upon a Time Shop.

I was tickled with the new retro décor around Echo Lake and wondered about the shimmering Christmas tree's presence smack dab in the lake. Don't tell me kids aren't mesmerized by how it got there. So take in the glorious season and on your way out be sure to stop for a holiday treat your little one will remember– a tasty red velvet whoopee pie bedazzled for the season!

#DisneyParksLIVE: Watch ‘Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!’ Live on December 4 at 7:55 p.m. EST

As a part of the "Flurry of Fun" park-wide holiday celebration at Disney's Hollywood Studios, the park lights up each night with the high-spirited projection show "Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!"

The show, which takes place nightly throughout the holiday season, stars elves Wayne and Lanny from "Prep & Landing." In it, Christmas Day is almost here, but Jolly Old Saint Nick is nowhere to be found. Luckily, Wayne and Lanny are on the job, and they won't rest until the big guy is back at the North Pole. Watch in wonder as buildings and rooftops come alive, and immerse you in beloved scenes from "Mickey's Christmas Carol," "Beauty and the Beast," "Pluto's Christmas Tree," "Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas" and more.

We're happy to share today that we will stream the full performance of "Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!" live from Disney's Hollywood Studios on Monday, December 4, at 7:55 p.m. EST, right here on the Disney Parks Blog.
