This Mother’s Day, Pamper Mom at Disney Springs

I've always loved the idea of Mother's Day – maybe because I was blessed with the best mom out there? (Yes, I'm talking to you, Darleen Clark!) This year, as I'm just weeks away from expecting my first child, the holiday holds extra significance for me, and I can't think of a better place than Disney Springs to celebrate the woman who brought you into the world.

Mother's Day is May 14th, but at Disney Springs, you can start pampering her now with special promotions and limited-time offerings already underway at many retailers. And if your mom prefers her "thank you" in the form of a delicious meal, select restaurants are serving up special menus on her big day.

Senses – A Disney Spa: For the first time at Disney Springs, guests can enjoy their choice of chair massages, Disney-inspired nail wraps by Jamberry, nail polish applications, updos, or even eyeshadow art at Marketplace Co-Op. With prices starting at $25 plus tax and services offered on a first come, first served basis, the Spa staff will be onsite from May 4-14, 2017.

Disney Floral & Gifts: Back by popular demand, the talented Disney floral team will be coming back to Marketplace Co-Op from May 1 – May 16, 2017 to offer a variety of flower arrangements and custom baskets, perfect for mom.

Mother's Day Brunch at STK: My mouth waters every time I look at the all-new brunch menu from STK Orlando. Whether your mom fancies Cinnamon Monkey Bread, Avocado Toast with Poached Eggs, Shrimp & Grits, or the Lemon-Ricotta Pancakes, pictured, she's bound to find something to suit her palate. Brunch is offered every Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and on Mother's Day, moms receive a complimentary "MOMosa" and a special takeaway treat.

An Amphicar Tour at The BOATHOUSE: For families that have been waiting for the right "special occasion" to take a ride in a fully-restored vintage amphicar, now is the time. Make a reservation between May 12-15, 2017 and save $25 off the regular price, plus get a free family photo to commemorate the experience!

Celebrate Mother’s Day With Special Dining at Disneyland Resort

Time with family around the table is one of the very best gifts to give a mom – and you can make your Mother's Day meal even more magical with special dining opportunities at Disneyland Resort.

Disneyland Resort has three special offerings just for Mother's Day on May 14. Carthay Circle Restaurant at Disney California Adventure park has a new creation just for the holiday: Carthay Benedict, with two poached eggs on grilled petite filet mignon medallions with country cornbread, ranchero black beans and poblano chili Hollandaise. A delectable, indulgent treat for mom (or anyone!) that will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

At Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Storytellers Cafe will feature a breakfast buffet with characters (no a la carte menu) from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The lunch-dinner buffet begins at 2 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m. – both offering salads, charcuterie, hot selections and plenty of sweets. Best of all, Disney characters will be there for plenty of photo opportunities. Breakfast is $37, $22 for ages 3 to 11; and lunch/dinner is $40, $24 ages 3 to 11.

For an elegant repast with mom, the Classic Afternoon Tea at Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel will offer Mother's Day-themed desserts along with the traditional teas, scones, tea sandwiches and more. Add a mimosa, sparkling wine or a little sherry, or stick with the fabulous teas – from a lavender Early Grey to Organic Pear Tree. The Classic Tea includes tea, scones and tea sandwiches ($50), and the Premium Tea starts with a glass of sparkling wine and adds a salad and truffles ($65). Gluten free and vegan options are available.
