Room With A View: The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

While I was growing up, summertime with my family always involved an awesome camping trip complete with yummy barbeque meals, nature walks, and of course, a nightly campfire to tell stories and share s'mores!

So this summer, what better way to relive and recreate those camping memories than by staying in one of the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort? Fort Wilderness is nestled among 750 acres of pine and cypress forest right in the heart of Walt Disney World Resort with woodland trails, hearty home-style eatery options, exciting activities and entertainment, and these private cabins are a great for those who want to 'rough it' in comfort.

I visited Wilderness Cabin 118, just steps away from the Settlement area. The cabin is tucked away in the resort's #100 loop, which is made up mostly of campsites, except for two cabins. What a unique spot that's perfect for being close to so many of the recreation activities like horseback riding, or dining such as Trail's End Restaurant!

Each cabin sleeps up to six guests and has a living room, bedroom, full bathroom, modern kitchen, private patio, (with wooden rocking chairs!) and a charcoal grill.

There's rustic charm everywhere you look–with nods to wildlife on the lampshades and nature-inspired patterns on the curtains–and you can enjoy the best of the great outdoors, but with all the comforts of home.
