Recently, I had a chance to check out the "World of Color" Dessert Party with my friend and fellow Disney Parks Blog author, Erin Glover. We were thrilled to be able to experience this new offering!
We checked in for the dessert party at 9 p.m. across from The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel's Undersea Adventure in Disney California Adventure park for our 9:45 showing of "World of Color – Celebrate!" Our reserved section, which was located to the left of Carthay Circle Restaurant Dining Package viewing area, offered a spectacular view of Paradise Pier.
Once we were seated, our server offered a selection of beverages including champagne, sparkling cider, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and soft drinks. Delicious desserts, beautifully plated on china, included a selection of cheeses including Brie, mild cheddar and Manchego, accompanied by a bread basket, seedless green grapes, a Chocolate Mocha Bundt Cake, Mickey Coconut Macaroon, a waffle bowl with berries and lime-yogurt mousse, mini French macaron and my personal favorite, a Dulce de Leche-filled shortbread cookie. As you can see, we had the opportunity enjoy plenty of delectable treats. Tip: if you don't finish your desserts, feel free to ask for a to-go box!
After a long day in the parks, it was wonderful to be able to sit back, relax and enjoy a breathtaking view of "World of Color – Celebrate!" with great company.
