It's no secret that I love to snack. There are many days where I end up grazing all day. Whether you're like me and want to snack your way through the parks, or you're just looking for a little something to tide you over until your next meal, here are a few of my favorite treats from Disneyland park (and they all are under $5):
1. Twists – Maurice's Treats, Fantasyland
Introduced in 2013, there's something for everyone at Maurice's Treats. I love savory snacks, so my personal favorite is the Cheddar Garlic Bagel Twist. If you're a fan of sweets, the chocolate and strawberry pastry twists are also delish.
2. Matterhorn Macaroon – Jolly Holiday Bakery Café, Main Street, U.S.A.
Jolly Holiday Bakery Café has many pastries that fall under or around $5, but I had to choose the Matterhorn Macaroon. I love coconut in everything, so of course this little confection – fashioned after one of the park's icons (and one of my favorite roller coasters), Matterhorn Bobsleds – had to make the list.
3. Grilled Skewers – Bengal Barbecue, Adventureland
While all the skewers at Bengal Barbecue slide in under the $5 mark, my personal favorite is the Safari Skewer – the bacon-wrapped asparagus is completely irresistible.
4. Tigger Tail – Pooh's Corner, Critter Country
My friends and fellow Disney Parks Blog authors Michelle Harker and Tyler Slater introduced me to the Tigger Tail, found at Pooh's Corner during one of my trips to Disneyland park. I love these marshmallows, which are coated in caramel and orange sanding sugar before getting a thick drizzle of chocolate (completing Tigger's signature stripes)!
5. Three Beignets from Mint Julep Bar, New Orleans Square
A New Orleans Square staple, these Mickey-shaped sweets are like little doughy clouds sent from heaven. Share with a friend, or eat all three yourself.
