Disney Parks Blog Weekly Recap

This week our holiday content hit a high point, with two new videos that showed the wonder of a child’s first Christmas spent at Walt Disney World Resort.

In one, we take a look at child’s first visit with his grandparents, and learn just how special and memorable that moment can be for everyone.

And in another, we see that Disney characters can make a special memory for our youngest guests during the holiday season.

Here are some of the other holiday stories we worked on this week.

Video Rewind: Holidays at Disneyland Park, 2009 – Look back at some of the holiday videos we shared here on the Disney Parks Blog way back in December 2009.

Every Role a Starring Role – Dapper Dans of Disneyland Park – The Dapper Dans are an iconic part of the Main Street, U.S.A., experience at the Disneyland Resort. In this episode of “Every Role a Starring Role,” hear from Jim Campbell about what it is like to bring magic to our guests through song.

It’s a Holiday Hoedown at the Jingle Jangle Jamboree at Disneyland Park – Where can you see Santa Claus, play holiday games, enjoy holiday treats and meet Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in their holiday best? At the Jingle Jangle Jamboree in Frontierland at Disneyland park! Check out all the fun we’ve been having this year.

Learn to Draw Scrooge McDuck from ‘Mickey’s Christmas Carol’ – This week, our Learn to Draw animation series continues with a lesson on how to draw a character from a classic Disney holiday film, Scrooge McDuck from “Mickey’s Christmas Carol.”

Jingle Cruise All the Way at Disneyland Park – Whether you’re into ugly sweaters or you’re more of a fruit cake, you’ll be “sleighed” by the hilarious, holiday highlights during this yuletide ride along the river with the Jingle Cruise at Disneyland park.
