Running for Honor, Running for Hope at the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend presented by Cigna

Linda Ambard from Boston is no stranger to running, she has been logging miles since high school. After college she focused on distance running, and with the support of her husband and family set a goal to run a marathon in all 50 states. But sometimes life is like running. You are traveling down the road, perfect stride, when all of the sudden you hit “the wall.” That moment when you feel you just can’t go any further. It is when you pull yourself together, perhaps change your goals, but continue to push through and move forward. That is exactly what happened in Linda’s life.

For several weeks I have shared amazing inspirational stories of runDisney runners from all four corners of the United States. Today’s story has left me without words. I have tried to find perfect lines to accompany Linda’s video but I can’t. The only person who can tell her story is Linda herself. I hope you will take a few minutes to watch Linda’s profile as we honor her husband, celebrate her new found happiness and learn from her message of hope.

#WhyIrunDisney is dedicated to sharing compelling and motivational human-interest stories. To view submissions and to learn how to upload and your story, visit irundisney.com.
