Exploring Northern Europe with Disney Cruise Line

It’s no surprise that guests are raving about the new itineraries we announced last week! In case you missed it, in summer 2015 we are sailing to northern Europe – exploring for the first time the Norwegian fjords, Iceland and the Faroe Islands. Plus, we are returning to the Baltic for all-new itineraries, including sailings from Copenhagen, Denmark to St. Petersburg, Russia.

I know many of you are already planning next year’s summer vacation, so I wanted to give you more details about these new sailings. With all of your options, choosing which cruise to take is sure to be a tough decision!

Norwegian Fjords and Iceland

Ever since the release of “Frozen,” set among Norway’s breathtaking mountain ranges, glaciers, geysers and fjords, visiting this enchanting land has been at the top of my list … and I’m sure it’s high on yours, too! Not only is the landscape gorgeous, the country’s Scandinavian culture comes to life through stunning architecture, storybook villages and historic city centers.

To explore the Norwegian Fjords with us, you can choose from seven-, nine- and 11-night options departing from Copenhagen, Denmark. Both the seven- and nine-night itineraries visit the ports of Stavanger, Alesund, Geiranger and Bergen before returning to Copenhagen. The nine-night sailing also calls on Molde and Olden.

On our 11-night voyage, you’ll journey to not only Norway but also Iceland and the Faroe Islands! This cruise visits three destinations in Norway (Oslo, Kristiansand and Stavanger), two in Iceland (Akureyri and Reykjavik) and one in the Faroe Islands (Torshavn), ending in Dover, England.

Baltic Sea

What’s more, we’re returning to destinations in the Baltic Sea where you can explore richly diverse cultures in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Estonia and Russia.

The seven-night itineraries beginning and ending in Copenhagen call on Tallinn, Estonia; St. Petersburg, Russia; Helsinki, Finland and Stockholm, Sweden. These same ports are visited on our 12-night cruises from Dover, England, one of which also stops in Warnemunde, Germany – the gateway to Berlin.

These options are pretty spectacular, don’t you think? And they are only part of what we’re offering in summer 2015! While in Europe, the Disney Magic will also sail the Mediterranean, departing from Spain and calling on France and Italy. The Disney Wonder will return to Alaska and the Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream will continue Caribbean and Bahamian itineraries.

So, where do you want to be in summer 2015? Like our friend Olaf from “Frozen,” sometimes I like to close my eyes and imagine what it’ll be like when summer does come!
