Thousands of people have been captivated by the story of the Triquis kids basketball team from Oaxaca, Mexico. Despite playing without shoes – a luxury that is difficult to afford in their remote community – this team of determined athletes out-scored, out-passed and out-played more than 50 other teams to become the champions of the International Festival of Mini-Basketball in Argentina this October. Earlier this week, they had the opportunity to visit Southern California … and can you guess which was one of the first places they wanted to go when they arrived?
Disneyland, of course! We had the honor of hosting these amazing boys yesterday here at Disneyland park, and what a day they had!
