Adding a Personal Touch to the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort

For years, Disney’s Days of Christmas in Downtown Disney Marketplace and Ye Old Christmas Shoppe in Magic Kingdom Park have delighted Disney fans with the personalization of holiday ornaments, and this year is no exception. So if you have a tradition of having an ornament personalized to commemorate your trip, make plans again this year!

This year, for those of you visiting the Disneyland Resort now through January 4, 2014, China Closet in Disneyland park and Julius Katz & Sons in Disney California Adventure park will offer you the opportunity to add a personal touch to your holiday ornaments as well!

I wanted to make sure I had every last detail for you, so I asked Store Operations Guest Service Manager Megan Corey just how it would work and here’s what she had to share. “It’s simple! Choose from a selection of holiday ornaments, for example Mickey Mouse head shaped ornaments or glass ball ornaments, and for a nominal fee our artist will handwrite your name or the date on it, in your choice of color, of course.”

Here are a couple of other quick personalization tips for you.

If you choose to have your ornament personalized, and wish you could add just a little extra holiday magic to it, ask the artist about special designs that can be added as accents to your personalization choice.

Last but not least, embroidered personalization is available on hats, stockings, apparel, fleece blankets and more at select locations throughout the Disneyland Resort. Special Tip: Consider having your family’s name embroidered for a nominal fee on our new Snowy Car fleece blanket, which can be found at Radiator Springs Curios in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure park.

For those of you who are fragrance fanatics or know someone who is, I highly recommend stopping by Mlle. Antoinette’s Parfumerie to inquire about special bottle painting with the purchase of a fragrance during the holidays.

So make your list, check it twice and add a personal touch to your holidays this year.
