Disney Magic Returns to Venice, Italy

Today the Disney Magic returned to her birthplace Venice, Italy, for the first time since construction!
Disney Magic Returns to Venice, Italy

The Disney Magic was built in two parts nearby Venice in Marghera and Anconda. Final construction took place in Marghera and the Disney Magic set sail from Venice on July 1, 1998. Almost exactly 15 years later, the ship is in Venice again as part of the Disney Cruise Line 2013 Mediterranean season. This voyage – along with another Mediterranean cruise later this summer and three in 2014 – will overnight in Venice, giving guests the opportunity to experience an evening in the spectacular city. Plus, the Disney Magic will use Venice as its homeport for select sailings in 2014.

A birthplace like Venice is just one more reason why the Disney Magic lives up to its name, don’t you think?
